The security forces of the transitional federal government carried out on Saturday massive security operations in Dharkenley district,
west of the Somalia capital searching for suspects and weapons. Hundreds of police forces spread early this morning into the district which had already seen several times of attacks by the local insurgents. At least 50 people were arrested in the security raid but most of them were released after being found no guilty.
All the traffic and business activities were stopped as people kept indoor during the operations aimed to crack down what they government called 'the Islamic elements' The interim government in Somalia is struggling to restore peace and stability in the capital which deepened into more violence.
